What is the next new language?

Alcune interessanti osservazioni tratte da toolbox.com

Languages get adopted not because old languages need modernization or because programmers need new excitement but because computing world demands it - because there is real need for a new languages.

C took off with the advent of the new great operating system,
C++ took off with the thick applications,
Java took off with Internet and online computing.

So what is the next new-old language?

Objective-C, Java for Android and anything related to in-browser client (HTML 5, WebGL,...).

These are the times of mobile applications and tablets and one should not stay stuck seeking "elegant" alternatives to enterprise Java, but should look into what is available for development of the beautiful mobile, tablet-oriented applications.
For those interested in systems programming, I would look into multi-core programming languages of various sorts.
